Don’t know if this should be in a new thread or not, but I’m having odd problems with subscribed threads in my user CP. One of them, the (interjections/insults of the past) thread doesn’t update as read when I’ve read the last post, and another thread I just posted to (women and catcalls) isn’t showing up in my User CP as a subscription at all. ---

Whatever they’re doing, they’re still doing it in the morning. The board was just unreachable from 7:10 - 7:30 am CDT. ---

Do advertisers get refunds due to these constant crashes? I think they should. ---

Yep. I’ve been having problems for the last 30-60mins. Main page opening up but no forums. Then it opens fast and I read a bit try to open another thread and it’s gone again. Took me about 5 attempts to get this post done. Well I haven’t hit submit yet but we’ll see… E.T.A. yep working now but as I said it’s intermittent ---

I would still think the advertisers would not be happy about the crashes since that means their ads are not seen during those times. Websites are supposed be up 24/7 except in the cases of shutdowns for upgrades. ---

Hopefully, Ed will get back with us regarding why (a) the jobs are being when they are, instead of at 3AM or some slower time and (b) what kind of server this board is hosted on that the host has any say-so regarding when jobs are run and (c) if and when something will be done to rectify the situation… for a board this size not to be run on a dedicated server with company IT running the show is a bit :dubious: ---

Do the people who run this site actually care how well it runs? From what I can see they don’t care at all. I never see any threads about things getting fixed. The only thing I ever see is that someone named Jerry is “looking into that” but that’s the end of it.
