I think it might be because you 2 are the only ones affected. Could it be geographical? ---

I envision the SD Admin staff staying up late nights, wiring piled all around them, looking half-crazed and all rumpled trying to figure out what’s wrong. ---

OK, this is a new one. When I came on line this time it shows I last visited at 8:39 a.m. today but yet in the New Posts it shows I posted to a thread at 1:32 p.m. today. Magic! How is this possible? (Actually I was here from about 1:00 to about 2:00, left and returned.) I have not seen this particular malfunction before. ---

As of right now (4:04) it still shows I last visited at 8:39 a.m. Actually, I have logged into and out of the boards four times since 8:39 this morning. I have rebooted my computer in between these times as well. Using Firefox. Has the board simply decided to ignore me? I guess I would rather have posts labeled as “new” when they aren’t than as has happened in the past, the board saying I was just here and there are no new posts. But really, I liked it better when it just worked right! ---

And zapped again. Just logged in, it showed 9:24pm last night my time was my last login, I had 14 Unread threads. I make one click, and suddenly my last visit shows right now, 5:33am my time, and all threads are marked Read. And no New Posts now. ---

Happened to me again. I will admit that it doesn’t happen to me very often, but the last time everything went kablooie in a major way it didn’t happen all at once either; things got worse and worse before the ----- hit the fan. So, one hopes that TPTB are at least trying to figure out why it is happening again so maybe it can be corrected while SDMB is still usable. ---

It’s been working like a dream for me lately … until just now. I logged on this morning, and it still showed my correct last log-in, but scattered among the Unread threads are a handful of ones marked Read that I’ve not looked at yet. Plus the Board seems to be running exceptionally slowly this morning too. ---

Just got hit for the first time in weeks. Fortunately it had only been a couple of hours since my last log in, so only a couple of threads were affected due to the late hour over there. ---

That one odd glitch occurred again. Maybe three threads marked Read scattered among a total of 11 that should have been marked Unread. ---
