There’s a weird mistake on them, though, something in the mix or the pressing. When he’s talking on the phone with someone, you can only hear him and the other person’s voice doesn’t come through at all. I always wondered if they fixed that on the re-issues. ---

**Bookkeeper** that movie was a Steve McQueen movie “Hell is for Heroes” I rolled on the floor laughing when I first heard him do that radio bit. Bob is awesome! ---

I have the same birthday as Bob Newhart! (September 5.) He did some corporate training videos too. I saw them when I went to work for IBM in the early 80’s. They were funny, too. Bob Newhart rocks. ---

I’ll be at that show, too. Making a two hour drive from Pensacola with my mother. When we were kids, my parents used to play his albums (yep, vinyl). I still remember the Sir Walter Raleigh routine. ---

> [@](#): > > When we were kids, my parents used to play his albums (yep, vinyl). I still remember the Sir Walter Raleigh routine. Me too! I recall one where he’s on the phone to a Dr Davis, and always forgets who he’s talking to when he mentions a certain word. Absolute genius. Thing is, you **know** what’s coming, but the buildup is awesome… [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/bob-newhart-i-am-so-there/161434.md?page=1)
