In the now over-crowded field of Republican candidates, where in the pack is Jindal? What segment of the electorate does he appeal to? I would have cared once. Jindal is smart and once showed promise of being a reformer. But he’s mismanaged Louisiana’s finances badly, and seems to have abandoned the interesting initiatives that once gave me some hope for him. ---

I think Bobby Jindal is so smart he thinks he needs to act like a pandering religious nutjob to win. Unfortunately for him, that position already has several suitors. ---

Didn’t he give the Repub response to the State of the Union where he mocked volcano research which was closely followed by the volcano eruption in Iceland that shut down air traffic in Europe for weeks? Would have been nice to have some warning on that. ---

Anyone going to challenge his legitimacy on birther grounds? Sure, he was _born_ in the US, but he wasn’t _conceived_ here. (His parents emigrated about six months before he was born, so unless he was _really_ premature, the conception happened overseas.)
