I had a weird one once, about 5 years ago. I’d had backne as a teen, and I had one little scar nubbin, tiny, smaller than a BB, under the skin on my right shoulder blade. One day in its like 25th year of innocuousness, it started swelling up. Within a few days, it was like half a golfball. When it started spontaneously leaking eclair custard, I went to the doctor. She massaged out a substance that, if I were her, I’d’ve kicked me out the office and called in an exorcist. No problem since then; only a vague shadow of hollowness under the skin in that spot. ---

Purchase a scapel. Hurts much less than a razor blade. Of course, have peroxide and betadine on hand. Oh, and lots of gauze. For packing. ---

That’s how my MRSA infection started last year…a small little pimple quickly turning into a two-headed boil. See a doctor…get it checked out. ---

Usually around one’s thighs. God, those things are nasty-I usually get them from razor bumps-except for the time I got one on my shoulder. ☹ And damn, do they HURT. ---
