have you started or are on Medicare or a Medicare health plan? from October to December is when you can rework your plan for the next year all though I still get calls about various things due to being on a state/federal health plan
not all of them… i get calls from United Healthcare Blue Cross etc

I’ve gotten good results from starting off with “May I have your permission to record this call?” Instant hangup, every time. If somebody is willing to go on record with their pitch, perhaps it’s not a scam. FTR, I live in a one-party recording state so I don’t even have to inform them, nor have I bothered setting up to record. Yet.
When I get a call that I suspect is a robot, I ask it, “What is two plus two?” or another simple question. The robots don’t seem programmed to answer math questions.
I’d say they are cold call sales calls. I’m sure some are scams.
The point being they call over and over and over. You can’t block before the next call comes through. If you finally get a bunch blocked tomorrow they have new numbers. It should be criminal.
If it’s a sales cold call, it’s a scam. Legit businesses know better than to violate the no-call list.
I don’t know about that. All I know is they do it.
I’m not even the target customer. I don’t ever answer these calls. I push off or whatever stops the ring on my phone. And report and block. Every single time. Til I get pissed and just turn the phone off for a period of time.
Cold call Medicare calls are always scams. If they’re willing to violate the no call list, they’re somewhere not in this country.
