While laughable when taken out of context, I don’t have too much of a problem with Sessions’ answer in the strict law enforcement sense. He mentions that there was “partisan” evidence found, but in the strict sense of “what was the bomber’s manifesto, did he have specific goals when he picked the selection of targets, was he inspired by a particular Trump speech or just general hatred?” it’s too soon to tell. I think to go further in an official AG statement would cross the line to political speculation (even if any reasonable person speculating on available facts would come to the obvious general conclusion). ---
