I didn’t know we did Bones threads! I figured that Angela’s magic 3-D machine was too much for the Dope to bear. I really like the show though, not entirely sure why, but I do. I’m going to miss tonight’s episode due to a birthday, so if someone wants to do a breakdown I’d dig it. Hopefully they’ll expound more on the Cult of the People Eaters this episode than last. ---

I keep hoping they’ll just ignore the magic 3D machine. They could just stop mentioning it, and so would we. Heck, they could just have Angela read from the phone book- I’d be just as happy. ---

So, what’s the recap? Let’s guess. Bones and The Dude from Buffy had some uncomfortable moments pretending they don’t want to screw, Angela and the Dude With the Beard had some uncomfortable moments because they are screwing, The Dorky Kid rattled off some science-y sounding stuff and really did all the work, and…The Boss Lady at the FBI was sent back to central casting? ---

Angela is hot, but god damn, she is fucking neurotic. Sometimes I just wish she’d get over her shit a little faster so we can get back to the interesting stuff. Interesting episode. I called the ponyplay as soon as they started talking about oats & corn in the guy’s stomach (the wonders of the internet). I like that Bones wasn’t judgmental about it, and while I guess Booth was true to character in that he was, it still made me uncomfortable. He sure spouts off a lot of religious shit for all the premarital sex he has. And I know that these days most young Christians take the same approach, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying. Anyway, I like the little moments of connection between Booth & Bones like the one at the end. For the most part I think Booth is full of it (what, was he “making love” to Camille? were they “becoming one”?? come on), but I like those little looks Bones has when she realizes something about him (and thus about human life) and takes it to heart. She’s an awesome character. ---

[/QUOTE] Yeah, as soon as I heard mention of a bit and then the oats and hay, I knew too. I told my mom about it and she was like no way. Of course the show proved me right. The only way I knew about it though was seeing them in a gay pride parade years back. The ones I saw went whole hog, completely leather bound, with fake hooves and everything. I was a little amazed and a little disturbed at the same time. ---

I loved the episode. I didn’t pick up on the ponyplay until they showed it to us. I love it when they have non-mainstream elements in the episodes. Also I like Zach more now that he is back from Iraq. ---

[/QUOTE] I just started watching Bones this season and so far I like it–except for Angela. I kept switching over to _Good Eats_ when the plot went to her memory problems. So she’s always like this? I guess I’ll be wearing out the recall button on my remote then. ---

I don’t know how anybody puts up with her. For example, she’s supposed to be so head-over-heels for Hodgins, but when he asked her to marry him, she said no TWICE because his proposal “didn’t feel right.” Only when he spelled out “I love you” in fluorescent crustaceans did she finally relent. Someone puts their heart and soul on the line, asking to spend the rest of their life with you and knowing you want the same, but you say NO, because the proposal wasn’t to your liking?? I’m sorry, but what a selfish, bitchy thing to do. ---

What’s with Hodges and Dorky Kid both getting haircuts. The old Hodges was much better looking and looked more like his character should look. Angela is human and has hangups. Image that! The horsey thing was so weird. ---
