Home on medical leave, I’ve been watching a lot of daytime TV, Among the shows I’ve caught up on is Bones on TNT. Dialogue makes it clear that Sweets died fairly recently, and that Daisy had his baby some time afterward. What happened? ---

I had stopped watching Bones regularly by this point, but I think he was killed on orders by a big bad of a season (or a season finale) in a parking garage. Shot by the assailant, he died in a parking garage as Bones and Booth call for an ambulance ---

At the time it was presented as “we came to the mutual agreement that this would be an interesting way to go with the character…” I don’t know if it was really “you dare put other stuff above us, well we’ll Colonel Blake you…” Back to in story, they show managed to keep it a secret, not even teasing that someone was going to maybe die, and it was a very sudden turn of events within the episode. ---
