What’s sad isn’t the juvenile humor, it’s the fact that when presented with a woman breaking new ground in a historically restrictive society, they can only come up with jokes instead of applauding the news. ---

Well, in this case the joking was tired and bigoted. It’s pretty much the equivalent of talking about a black pilot and making jokes like “it must be hard to fly a plane with a bucket of chicken between your legs.” It’s the kind of humor old white bigots find funny. ---

As the Daily Show pointed out last night, this is the same network that was indignant that Obama disespected the troops by saluting with a coffee cup in his hand, then they took time out to openly mock the uniformed personnel of one of our allies as she risked her life to fight terrorists. ---
