But we all depend on their consensus in the real world on all kinds of things, here and elsewhere, and my common sense tells me this is an example where they were not motivated to do this except by extreme cautionary concern, and not group pathology or animus. ---

As far as I can tell, your definition of psychology is “non-rigorous stuff.” But that’s like defining “physics” as “the ideas Deepak Chopra purveys, plus the weird tangent Roger Penrose went off on” and claiming that any true physics is something else. ---

You don’t need to hang out a shingle to understand that Trump is a narcissistic moron. That that fact could be news to anyone not living under a rock is another type of disorder entirely. ---
