# Books about Stoic influence on early Christianity?

I’ve read it over and over that Stoicism had a great influence on Christianity, yet I can’t seem to find a book that deals specifically with that subject. Can anyone help me?

Karen Armstrong’s _A History Of God_ also touches on the Stoic influence, although more in the context of a general discussion of the influences of various Greek schools of thought - Gnosticism, Platonism - on Christianity during its first few centuries before the Nicene Council. Still a highly recommended read.
