I have seen an example in a house sale of a collection of fake books. It was a miscellaneous collection all rebound in new covers to look like matching sets of histories, works of literature, etc. Open them up and you find some really boring, random, textbook. (Some 19th century equivalent of “Learn VB5 in 5 weeks” probably)
