James Clavell’s Shogun. You could have terrific musical numbers AND beheadings.

There have been attempts but not one breakout hit version of DRACULA.

I think James Michner’s **Hawaii** would have made a very good opera, sort of _Evita_esque with a kind of Hawaiian lilt.

Broadway says sorry, new rules. If you have a book and want us to make it a show, sell it first as a movie.
