Bootable CD ROMs

I have Nero 5.0.4.9 here (bundled) and it too has a “bootable CD” option, which I have never, never managed to get to work. When I select an image to burn the “CD preview window” just shows empty, I don’t see either the image or the files in it. Just, nada.

When I try to use Nero to make a “CD-ROM (boot)” it defaults to the Boot tab. The only available radio button is Image file and it points to C:\IMAGE.IMG I know I don’t have this file (I assume it’s a file) but I don’t know what it’s actually asking for. If i try to create the CD using this image.img file, i get an error saying

“Sorry, the path you entered is invalid or does not exist”

To get rid of the technicalities, I actually need my Win95 CD to become bootable b/c at second look, Win98 is the upgrade for existing win95 machines.

Muldoon, you can uinstall the 98 upgrade and it will ask for a 95 cd. If you have a friend with a cd burner they can use nero and a stnadard 3.5 floppy disk to make a bootable cd for you if you give them your 98 cd
