To some extent. But some morally dubious actions are not bad enough to warrant making a huge issue over. A pirated movie may cross that line for you, but it doesn’t for me, or for a lot of other people. It’s worth suggesting renting something next time, but that’s about it.
I’ve downloaded a few bootlegs before, and I determined that they’re generally of such bad quality to not be worth watching. Now I just wait for the DVD.
Did you read Dex’s warning post, walrus? Bootlegging is per se illegal, not just “morally dubious”, and it doesn’t matter whether you or a lot of other people condone it or not: as Dex stated please very clearly, SDMB policy is not to condone it.
