Ventricular tachycardia is an abnormally fast heart rhythm that is more likely to happen to someone whose heart has been damaged (like someone who has had a heart attack) but it’s not a heart attack in and of itself. Just wanted to point out that distinction because I know how scary the phrase heart attack can be. Hope that your dad makes a fast recovery. Have his doctors explained to him what would be involved in getting the pacemaker? Sometimes older guys like that can be very very stubborn about taking care of themselves unfortunately. ---

My brother & I visit in shifts. My leave days are running out, & after Xmas I will have to go back to work or risk dismissal. The Family Leave Act covers care, not me sitting in the hospital. ---

The Hospice Doctors came today. His heart, lungs, and kidneys are basically shot. 6 months or less. ---

I am so very sad for you. I was feeling sorry for myself because my wife informed me two weeks ago that she wants a divorce. Surprise!
