Opinions wanted. A friend of mine purchased a [Bose Solo TV Sound System](http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/home-entertainment/1295257/bose-solo) and asked me to help him install it. He suffers from age-related hearing loss, and the VA is providing him with a custom hearing aid, but the audiology lab is so backed up they can’t fit him for it for a few months.

So he bought this unit, thinking it would make watching TV more enjoyable. I have my doubts whether it will be worth it. This unit (which I haven’t listened to yet) looks like a reasonable system, but not designed for his use, and if not, perhaps he should return it.

Any thoughts? Any experience with the Bose? Or recommendations for something else?
