Lost at #11. I didn’t even know it was a sci-fi show. I thought it was the OC set on an island.

Xena: Warrior Princess at #12. Oh really.

#15 - Logan’s Run - ??? I didn’t even know there WAS a Logan’s Run tv show.

#17 - Firefly - Yeah, baby.

#27 - Buffy - They really don’t know anything about the shows they’re reviewing - Buffy the show wasn’t set in L.A.

#35 - The Original BSG - sorry, but we just watched a bit of it again recently, and it really, really sucked.

#48 - Third Rock from the Sun - sci-fi comedy? Um, no, just comedy with characters that happened to be from a different planet.

Angel is missing - if Buffy is #27, Angel definitely deserves to be on the list. Come to think of it, neither show is sci-fi - they were horror-comedies.

And where’s Man from Atlantis?

I, too, would think it is nice that Doctor Who is placed high. At least that would be, if I had the inclination to keep clicking long enough to get to it. Why can’t it all be on one page?

Oh, and judging from the below description, it appears they are not just posting what is popular, but also what sounds interesting.

‘That Was Then’
If you blinked, you may have missed this short-lived gem of a sci-fi show on ABC. As Travis Glass (played by James Bulliard) turned 30 years old, he realized his life since high school was pretty much wasted. He envies his jerk brother Gregg (played by Brad Raider) who married Travis’ dream girl, Claudia (played by Kiele Sanchez). Thanks to a wish, an electrical problem and an old Kink’s song, Travis returns to 1988 to change the past. But everytime he hears the Kink’s song again, he’s catapulted back to the future to see how his changes affected the outcome of his life at 30. The show was canceled long before it had a chance to reach its prime. It ran in the fall of 2002.

And if their set of criteria is such as to include Third Rock, where the heck is Mork and Mindy? Mork and Mindy would fall into any category that Third Rock from the Sun does, except it’s better. Not that I’m convinced that either should be on the list.

Waitm, what is “Tales from the Crypt” even doing on that list. Sure, so it has other fantasy shows, but “Tales” wasn’t all that great.

It bothers me (as well as other Dopers) that “Mystery Science Theater 3000” is even on that list - and at number nine ??? That’s a bit much.

Buffy, from what I know of it, isn’t Sci-fi. Niether is Xena.

The story arc with Riley and the cyborg guy was SF.

Wow I had forgotten about Alien Nation, I loved that show! Interesting list though I agree some of the omissions are odd.
