Congrats, **SCAdian**! Well done. Anyone interested in Ned Kelly should read _True History of the Kelly Gang_, a Booker Prize-winning novel by Peter Carey, written as if it were the long-undiscovered secret journal of the outlaw. Very entertaining. [Jam band](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jam_band). Basically, they’re bands that feature extended improvisational segments in their live shows. The Grateful Dead would be they archetype, but there are a bunch of others out there. They’re definitely not for everyone, but I’m a (somewhat picky) fan. ---
