The twist, which explains my answers to #16, #26 and #18 is (Spoiler for a 1959 film): George Kaplan does not exist. He’s a decoy set up by the good guys to divert attention from the real double agent they have embedded in the villain’s inner circle. For #18 - “no” in the sense that Kaplan is not a real character and so never appears on screen. “yes” in the sense that at one point in the film, the good spies convince Thornhill to pretend to be Kaplan in order to fake Kaplan’s on-screen death and lull the bad guys into a sense of security.
