Destroyed his career with the payola scandal and drank himself to an early grave. Regarding #19, I had to phrase it as “credits to his name” as there is some dispute as to whether or not he actually wrote any songs. Chuck Berry successfully sued to have Freed’s name taken off of “Maybellene”.
