Dr. William Seely tried to defend the institution, saying that the entire affair “matters little, since it would all be the same on the day of resurrection.” This was not something the Harrisons wanted to hear, especially future president Benjamin, who never got over “the taste of hell which comes from the discovery of a father’s body hanging by the neck, like that of a dog, in the pit of a medical college.” So, it wasn’t Benjamin but John, Jr. who found it, but I was remembering Benjamin, so that counts as a correct answer. #2 was Bob Hope.
