Ditko was very Ayn Randian, and Mr. A saw the whole world in terms of strict black-and-white, good-and-evil, and Mr. A had no compunction about killing evildoers. Alan Moore satirized Mr. A with his Rohrschach character in _Watchmen_, since the characters in that book were based on DC’s recently acquired Charlton line, which included the Question.
