Charles Walter Stansby Williams (20 September 1886 – 15 May 1945) was a British poet, novelist, playwright, theologian, literary critic, and member of the Inklings (along with his friends J.R.R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis).

Author of War In Heaven and Descent Into Hell among others. I can’t imagine EH, at least, not knowing about this guy.
