No, I’m sorry - I’ve already used Giuseppe Verdi and Peer Gynt in this round. Oddly, I’d considered Gustav Holst’s ‘Savitri’ for the operatic trifecta, but I decided that was too obscure to be considered fair… 1. is **Charles Gounod** , and those are his two best known works. 2. is **Giacomo Puccini** , best known for La Boheme and Madama Butterfly. 3. is **Gilgamesh** , king of Uruk from the eponymous Sumerian/Akkadian/Babylonian epic.
