Correct on Mary Read. Semi correct, but mostly not, on Keith Richards; he _was_ an inspiration for Captain Jack Sparrow’s father, but the captain of the pirate crew that included Mary Read and Anne Bonney was Calico Jack Rackham. The protagonist of Irvine Welsh’s book is Mark “Rent Boy” Renton.
