Let’s see, Romance languages not covered yet are Portuguese, Romanian, and Catalan. There’s also other non-Romantic nations where a Romance language is an official language, like Switzerland. Holland, Belgium… darn you EH. DQ: Known for sports? ---

Well, at least I narrowed it down to Belgium or Switzerland. Still no sure thing on occupation. What did we leave out? Scientist possibly. Religious figure? Loosely speaking for politics. Could mean a political figure that hasn’t held office, like MLK or Gandhi. Maybe the Swiss L Ron Hubbard? I have a feeling this person is one who people forget about 99% of the time because they’re overshadowed by a much larger entity, but yes, they were there all along as well. ---

Why “loosely speaking” for politics? He seems to have been a career politician, as well as Prime Minister of Portugal. I took “loosely speaking” to mean he had been involved with political issues, but not as an office holder. ---
