If they’re from the Executive Branch and not a Cabinet member, that leaves the President and Vice President. None of the living Prezes and VPs have last names beginning with D. ---

In addition to the exceptions Prof pointed out, I believe that Ambassadors are considered part of the executive branch, as well as some ‘cabinet-level’ positions that aren’t in the cabinet, like the Chief of Staff or the head of the EPA. Oh, and also I think the VP **is** considered to be a member of the Cabinet. ---

Cabinet refers to the Attorney General and all the Secretaries. Cabinet-level refers to the VP, Chief of Staff, Ambassador to the UN, and officers of trade, budget, national security, drug control, and economic advisers.
