*Nice game all. Here are some IQs:
-
Were enough to entice Edward VIII of England to abdicate?
-
Are you “The one who knocks…”
-
Did you defeat the English at Stirling Bridge?*
-
I am not Wallace Simpson Correct
-
Take a DQ - So you’re not Walter White from Breaking Bad
-
I am not William Wallace Correct
DQ: Is the film drama or is it comic?
Not sure that is a yes/no question but I’ll allow it - the film is definitely not comic, could be described as drama, best description really is probably adventure.
Hmmm. Not sure I’m going to recognize this dude’s name when I learn who it is.
Well, I’ll give it another 24 hours for the remaining DQs to be asked, then people can guess away. I reckon most of us will know the name once it has been discovered/revealed.
Kai Winn, Winter Soldier, War Machine
If you’re allowing extra DQs:
DQ1: Law enforcement genre?
DQ2: Comedy genre?
DQ3: Romance genre?
Discussion:
Adventure genre. Hmm. The novels I’m remembering by British authors of 1970s-1980s that aren’t scifi/fantasy/period are the last works by Agatha Christie, some James Bond novels, some novels about the Saint, and John le Carre and other spy novels.
As I effectively answered these in reply to MonkeyMensch (see also Prof. P’s last post), but didn’t add it to the list of DQ answers so you may have missed it, I’d be happy for you to ask three different DQs if you wish. MonekyMensch has one DQ available as well.

…There’s also Richard Adams’ books…
OK, reasking my DQs.
DQ1: Does the story primarily take place in London?
DQ2: Does the story take place in one time period?
DQ3: Authority figure?
Additional answers below. MonkeyMensch may still ask a DQ, or people can start making their guesses - if no-one has it by Monday morning, I’ll go for the big reveal then.

My best guess is Walter White, but that’s not it.
My last DQ/Guess: Are you General Woundwort from Richard Adams’s Watership Down?
Yes, I am General Woundwortthe Chief Rabbit of Efrafa, the warren run like a police state in Watership Down. Well done Prof. P! Just when I thought I was going to get away with it, too. But I knew you were onto me when you mentioned Richard Adams. Good game, all.
Good game, DC.
Next, I am L.
It’s been so long since I read that book. I only remember the hruuduuduus.
IQ1: At Betty White’s roast, did you say she is so old that on her first game show ever, the prize was fire?
IQ2: Are you a blue collar comedian whose real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney?
IQ3: Did you play Tommy Flanagan, Pathological Liar on SNL?
Never read the book, but I recognize the name. Well done, PP.
IQs:
Did you build Hildene, your country home, in rural Vermont?
Were you that person’s dad?
Were you that person’s mom?
Well played DC and the professor, who has some meddling kids and a dog to help him in fooling the schemes of others.
Iqs:
- Were you the poorly talented foil to Gene Kelly in Singin’ in the Rain?
- Did you portray “Fereret-face”?
- Did you haunt the dreams of The Raven’s narrator?
- I am not Denis Leary (???)
- I am not Larry the Cable Guy.
Take a DQ for #3.
- I am not Robert Todd Lincoln.
- I am not Abraham Lincoln.
- I am not Mary Todd Lincoln.
I was waiting for the Lincoln questions.
