Hmm… The “living now, in a way” makes me think of something like Bowman transforming into the Starchild at the end of _2001_. Can’t think of another 50s-60s movie with a similar occurrence. Or getting absorbed into a computer network, but 50-60s feels too early for that sort of proto-cyberpunk story. Or in suspended animation at the end? Final 2 DQs DQ: Story set on Earth?
