So, I get 3 DQs.
Lay 'em on me! (Though I’m off to my gig shortly, and won’t be able to respond for at least a few hours.)

Way to go, **astorian**! If you hadn’t guessed Moog, I might have… it felt like we were closing in on him.

[IQ’s:

Did you play center field for the Boston Red Sox?

Did you often sing _The Spar-Spangled Banner_ before games at Yankee Stadium?
Well, to the best of my knowledge, nobody’s ever sung _The Spar-Spangled Banner_ at Yanke Stadium or anywhere else. :o

The anthem singer I had in mind was [Robert Merrill,](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Merrill#Career) while the center fielder who likely heard Merrill’s rendition of Francis Scott Key’s lyrics on a few occasions was [Rick Miller.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Miller_%28baseball%29)

It can truly be said that **astorian** did a good job of _synthesizing_ the information revealed by our DQ’s to arrive at the correct answer!

I thought that was the nautical version.
