Just as an aside, I have not played this game since my senior year in HS, when my calculus instructor taught it to the class. We played a couple of rounds every Friday. Since I had never heard of the game before (or since), I just assumed it was something he made up! I’m glad for the trip down memory lane and trying to guess whoever in the world you are thinking of. 🆒

It’s as much as a guessing game for the chooser as for the guessers. From the link in the OP:

So when **astorian** asked if I was the worst ever member of _Charlie’s Angels_ I had to guess who he was talking about. His guess has to be an ‘SH’, and my has to be an SH that was in _Charlie’s Angels_. So it’s different from directly asking ‘Are you Shelley Hack?’
If I know who he’s talking about I have to say ‘No, I’m not Shelley Hack,’ and the next question must be indirect. If I didn’t know he was thinking of Shelley Hack and couldn’t think of another SH that was a member of the show, then I have to say I don’t know and he gets to ask a direct question.
