I only buy bottled water when I’m out and want something to drink.
Except when the cryptosporidium rears its ugly head here. yuck. Then bottled water is all I drink.
Having lived in Germany, I was used to buying my drinking water (due to its high lime content, hardly anyone uses tap water over there). Also having lived in Panama City Florida for a time, I never got used to the strong sulfuric taste of tap water there so I bought spring water in gallon containers. I realize that bottled water comes without fluoride, but it hasn’t affected mine or my cat’s teeth. My main concern with the bottled water is their quality control system. (i.e. the Perrier situation of a few years ago).
Dev Null and Barbitu8, your point about the testing of tap water is well taken in that regard.
I also like carbonated water because I drink too many cola drinks and the carbonation of the water is a good substitute. One has to keep an eye on the sodium content, however.
Thank you for your responses.
