# Bow ties: Yea, or nay?

I don’t wear ties of any description any more but there was one guy at work who always wore a bow tie and universally people thought it looked great. He was a very dapper guy and it just suited him. No-one ever had the nerve to try to emulate him.

As far as bow ties - if worn with a jacket, they visually complete a triangle whose other sides are your lapels. Thus the center is a space featuring shirt buttons. Kind of a strange look IMHO.
