You know what I’ll bet would hurt? If you have ear buds in your cell phone to make a call, and you also have the phone cabled to your desktop computer to charge, and then you slide your chair under your desk, and while sliding your slippers along the vinyl chair mat on the floor, generate enough static electricity for it to find ground through the ear buds, which of course would shock you in your ear canals, pretty much equally on both sides. And I hope I never do that again. ---

Maybe the shock actually went in one ear, right on through, and out the other ear? Thereby drilling a micro-tunnel straight through your pre-frontal cortex! Sounds like the same sensation I experienced coming down off benzodiazepine addiction, only that was once every 10 to 15 seconds, 24/7, for about ten months! Wasn’t much left after that. I’ve never done that. I have, however, accidentally generated some static electricity, and then petted a cat around the ears, and zapped the cat. The cat NEVER enjoys this, and gives me the old [stinkeye](http://icanhascheezburger.com/2012/01/31/funny-pictures-perfecting-stink-eye/), even after I explain that it was entirely unintended. ---
