I guess the central issue isn’t what causes offense or why, nor what the exacerbating issues are, but the degree to which some folks are taking their redress. For a while, I thought that the primary hobby in America was being offended by something someone said or did, but I see that, #) Americans don’t begin to have a corner on that point of view, and #2) these rabid, fanatical responses to offenses are taking things back to the middle ages. If people don’t learn to tolerate differing points of view, even those that they find reprehensible, then they’ll be forced to live in permanent physical defense of their ideals. God help us all.

Since this is the pit why doesn’t the cartoonist just print a cartoon saying
" HEY STUPID
If you don’t like the implications of the cartoon why don’t you just ask those who would purposely use bombs to murder innocents in the name of ALLA to please stop."
