Fame seeking can cause terrible misjudgment. I struggle with charging the girlfriend with manslaughter. At least I don’t think she should do jail time. Ruiz prodded her to do it because he was confident the book would stop it and he wanted them to become famous. So sad. ---

I think there should certainly be a court case but that any reasonable judge would be minded to minimise the custodial sentence. It was stupid, criminally negligent and should stand as an example of what not to do but I can’t see what benefit a lengthy sentence would have in this situation. ---

Looks like the Darwin Award is two children too late in this case. Not finding a lot of sympathy for the GF, since “shooting guns at people” is a thing 99.9% of the folks in this country have the sense not to do. ---

What happened here is the very definition of Manslaughter. If you cause someone to die but didn’t plan to purposely kill them (which is Murder), that is Manslaughter. She fired gun at his chest. She should go to prison. ---

I like idea of having a person this stupid locked away from the rest of us. If she’s dumb enough to do this, what other things could she be convinced to do (shudder)? Sometimes the stupid people don’t have to be in large groups to create chaos. ---
