Well, that changes things. He still isn’t acting right, but it sounds like he has a reason to be insecure and jealous. Yeah, your girlfriend going off and getting drunk and almost having sex with someone WILL make a big dent in your relationship!
[/QUOTE]

I’m surprised more people aren’t commenting on this. She almost had the drunken sex with the guy WHILE the two of them were in a relationship together, right? If it weren’t for this one little detail I’d be 100% on board with all the “Dump him, he’s an asshole!” people.

Well, I’m not sure about the details of the event, and she didn’t exactly said that they were going to have sex, more like she was drunk and the guy tried to coerce her into having sex.

That made a dent on their relationship.

I am not sure he’s as crazy as he seems, now that I think about it. I don’t talk to them very much, so it’s not like I have a “feeling” of the dynamics of their relationship.

So, yeah, I’m gonna wait and see what happens next.

x2! I had this problem with my wife for the first 5 years we were married. Her Ex was a compulsive liar AND a cheat. Took a long time before she got over that. Also, her Mom and dad had that kind of relationship and she kinda thought it was normal.

So you followed her to any place where she might be dealing with men?

She had the trust issues, not me…

How did you know!? 🙂

There are several times that the pronouns have changed. I don’t recognize the OP, so I don’t know if this is a linguistic issue, or if the story is radically different and changed for a reason, but some of it seems a bit contrived.

If someone told me that their boyfriend thought I might rape them if he wasn’t along to stop me, I would laugh my way right out of that relationship.

I wouldn’t call that enough trust to be even acquaintances any longer.
