It’s pretty creepy to suggest the creepy neighbor can be the new babysitter You know why I didn’t Pit **kayaker**. I’m really bothered by pedo stuff, to the point that I’ve been warned in threads when I say how I feel about pedophiles (I honestly am not bothered by the idea of a pedo dying in a fire, very slowly). The babysitter comment was sorta a coping mechanism. I’m relieved not to be in the original OP’s situation. And I’m glad my own kids are grown up now. Maybe it was because the babysitter line was way over-the-top, while your comment seemed like it could (from a pedophile) sound “real”. Anyway, apologies to anyone offended by the babysitter comment. ETA : FUCK. (It’s the pit) ---

That’s a very good point. **splatterpunk** didn’t just step over the line, he blew straight past the off ramp to the line. The guy advocated an off board personal attack… and it didn’t really seem like a joke. ---

I guess if someone pits you for a stupid and horrible joke you could a) laugh it off and say, dudes it was a stupid joke, get over your bad selves, or b) claim how the entire board has gone downhill and how everyone else is stupid and wrong BUT you. ---

You’re right, though, probably if you took out all the words in your post and replaced them with different words which constituted an actual joke, things could have been different. ---
