How can you mention **Hot Tuna** without mentioning **Papa John Creach**? He made the band.

My vote for most unrecognized band goes to **New Riders od the Purple Sage**. Country music gone electric. Jerry Garcia and Commander Cody played on their first album.

How can you mention **Hot Tuna** without mentioning **Papa John Creach**? He made the band.

Sure Papa John added a whole new facet to Hot Tuna, but go back an listen to the Hot Tuna albums before he joined. Listen to Water Song and say the band was not made.
