Hey - I actually found a couple that I like there - thanks!
rocking chair we don’t have ross or daffys here - I really haven’t had much luck. I suppose I could assign you to me in the White Elephant exchange and you could send me bras, but that’s not really in the spirit of the thing, as I assume you don’t have a bunch of 32DD bras lying around your house…
I can get 30E or 30F bras on figleaves or Bravissimo (websites), there’s also a nice local lingerie shop that will order in my size…most brands actually make a wider selection of sizes than the shops stock, so they can be ordered in if you ask nicely.
Brands that I know cater to the small back/big boobed ladies are Freya and Fantasie, they actually have some prety bras too, not just something that looks like scaffolding. Rigby & Peller do a huge range of sizes, and their bras are gorgeous, but they’re not cheap.
La Senza and Knickerbox are where I buy sleepwear and vest/pantie sets. I don’t even bother looking for bras there.
When I’m in the US and need to buy bras, I make sure to wear one that’s got the “too many numbers label”, look it up in the store and then pick the US size it says, plus sizes around that one… I’ve been known to buy, in the same store and for the same brand, bras marked with three different numbers and two different letters.
Will you believe that being able to walk into a lingerie store, say “95/75, no wires” and be handed half a dozen bras that fit is for me one of the little great pleasures of being home?
Unless my boyfriend’s cousin is in town, my only way to find a bra which fits is to try them all on.
I went to Victoria’s and was told (rather snootily actually), “we don’t carry anything that big, you might as well just try somewhere else”. The stupid twit refused to even measure me. I think she was intimidated by real tits. Anyway, I went to Fredericks and they were able to get me somewhere between 36 and 40, DD and F. After trying on many many bras, I ended up with either 36F or 38DD.
However, whenever my boyfriend’s cousin is in town, he takes one look at me and tells me, “Your tits grew again, try X size”. He’s always right. It’s always helpful to have someone in your life who has spent about 10 years working in retail - specifically, Women’s clothing. Unfortunatley, I haven’t seen him in many months and despite losing 40lbs, the damn things grew again. I refuse to spend another 2 hours in Fredericks and another $200 on bras this year though so the girls are just gonna have to be squished.
never assume, ms wonderland… there maybe a few stacked pachys in the house.
Google “Edith Lances.” That’s the name of a manufacturer that specializes in large cups and small bands. Their bras are pricey but are very well made and give superb support to full breasts. If you wash them by hand and let them air dry they last for years, so you get your money’s worth.
