Have any of you seen the commercial for this gum that is supposed to improve your memory,and make you think faster, as well as make it easier to learn ? It is one thing for marketers to say, oh chew our gum, you will have freash breath and get more sex. But, chew our gum and it will make you smarter ? I don’t know about the gum, but my husband just bought some “Blitz Power” frozen dessert. I’m assuming (since it’s all in German) that it’s supposed to be an energy booster. It contains Guarana and caffeine. Tastes kind of like pineapple sherbert. Sigh. What’s next, wrinkle reducing doughnuts? ---

Gum that raises the IQ? Heck of a marketing concept, and it actually makes a weird sort of sense. Anyone who would buy chewing gum to get smarter only has one way to go. Veb ---

I don’t want to say this might be a fraud, especially as I know next to nothing about this fine product, but it sounds like one of those deals where you send a guy $50 for a book entitled “How to Get People to Send You $50.00 for a Book”. Imagine the Marketing group working on this one - Marketeer 1: “Buy this gum and it’ll make us look smart.” Marketeer 2: “I love it.”
