  1. 11 Playing Football on a Football Team(???)

I know the syntax is mangled and that it would read better as 11 FP on a FT.

what are 18 and 26?

To deal with men by force is as impractical as to deal with nature by persuasion.

18 - 1000 is how many words a picture is worth.

Thank you again for everybody’s help. Here are the answers I came up with. I’m still not quite happy with the answer to 26, but that’s the best I could come up with. (I notice Mojo came up with the same idea, so maybe it’s right after all.)

Workers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains.

Jacques

Change 26 to ‘players fielded on a football team’

I reckon it sounds a bit better.

Here’s a longer version of Jacques original, if anyone’s up for it I’ll post the answers in a day or two - or by demand.

Enjoy!

Chef, wasn’t that Ferris in Farris Beuler’s day off?

I got 22 of the original 27 instantly (within 15-20 minutes or so), but then realized that I fudged a bit on #8 saying “13 States of the American federation” which although not perfect is still somewhat correct. The five I didn’t get within that period of time were 7,11,12,16,26. Those were tough ones.

Nobody ever bit on this, so I’ll finally give the answer:
0=M.
(“Zero Mostel”) :slight_smile:

Holy Moly! It lives!

Thank you, dougie. I had been puzzling over that 0M for months. :wink:

17, silly.
