# Brake pad wear question.

To answer the OP, the less you use the brakes the longer they last.  
Want the longest brake life? Look as far ahead of your car as you can see.  
The next stop light red? Take your foot off the gas and coast.  
Still going to need brakes? Apply them early and gently.  
Driving this way will both increase your brake life and gas mileage.

Hey I answered the question “How do you make brake pads last the longest.”  
The answer to “What is the most exciting way to drive.” is somewhat different.
