Still pissed about forgetting Oscar Mayer ::goes off whistling the song::

At least you spelled Oscar’s surname correctly in the post quoted above. I saw lots of “Meyer” answers despite the fact that the jingle clearly states that the bologna’s (and thus wiener’s) second name is “M-A-Y-E-R”.

I think my problem was I remember the song so I think of bologna and not hot dogs.

That cracked me up! It was about evenly split between correctly spelled and mispelled.

"Oh I love to eat it every day
And if you ask me why I’ll saaayyyyyy . . . .
'Cause Oscar Mayer has a way with “B-A-L-O-N-E-Y.”
I’m sticking to that 'cause I’m genetically, culturally and economically unable to refer to it as bologna.

It’s not my fault. I was distracted by the fact that I’d originally typed “Farmer John” and then realized that may be a regional brand that no one else knows about. Looking at the scores, I’m apparently right.

Ya, spelling isn’t my friend and I spell checked the post so anything out side of that is beyond me. But on the plus side I finally made someone laugh on the Dope .
