If you are calling the CR second goal as “another contentious one” because the scorer might have been an inch offside, after five minutes and multiple repeat slow-mo replays from many angles - it’s not really very “contentious”. Feck. Don’t get me started on commentators. I actually stopped watching football because of that sort of asinine twattery. I tried only watching matches that were simultaneously broadcast on radio so I could watch the match on TV and listen to the radio commentary, and watching matches on Sky who had a red button option to watch the match with a crowd-noise only option (do they still have that?) Eventuality I just gave up and now only watch the Euros and World Cup. ---

I fear England are going to see a Uruguay desperate to stay in the tournament in the game following tonight’s match v Italy. Thus far, this tournament has been pretty open. Much more so than I thought it would be coming in. It has been good viewing. ---
