Wow. The defending champions knocked out first, after just two matches. I suppose I feel bad for them, but it’s good to see threats out the way. Plus I have a bit of a soft spot for Chile, since they appointed me as their manager in FIFA 13. Well, six minutes left. I could still eat my words, but Spain don’t look like scoring. ---

They played a friendly in the spring against Germany, and we looked rather bad, and their effort today was marvellous. ---

Yep, of course. I’d rather play this WC’s Spain than Chile, and the assumption, of course, is that the surviving teams are the better ones. But on paper, at least, Spain would be scarier. ---
