Perhaps only Protestantism (or their particular brand of) is _ **real** _ Christianity. If they don’t make it as far as the Aegean, maybe they could preach to the pagans of Sicily. ---

I asked them about it once, since as a non-Christian I tend to lump all sects of Christianity together to an extent. They’re of the notion, it seems, that Catholics/Eastern Orthodox are not truly ‘saved’, and only by embracing some branch of Protestantism (preferably that of the missionaries) have they been saved. ---

I wonder whether they’re sailing around the west coast of Africa, or the east coast. If the latter, maybe they’ll meet some nice Somalis they can try to convert. ---

I once met a group of young missionaries who were working to bring the message of Jesus to _Italy_. “They’ve kind of heard of the guy here, you know,” I told them. I think the Lord is moving me to bring His gospel to the people of Jamaica, specifically to the people of the Sandals resort. ---

I dunno. I think I’d make more progress looking for converts in Rio during Carnival. My understanding is it’s a religious festival of some sort so presumably the locals are in a spiritual mood. ---

Dude, it’s far more comfortable and a lot safer to prosthetize in western nations that are already Christian. And using the cover of “missionary work” is a ludicrously easy way to get people to pay for your extended vacation. ---
