I can’t speak of everyone, but reading the quoted in the OP, nowhere do I see where Brazil stated that **all** women wanted one thing. It’s more along the lines of someone disagrees with Brazil’s views or preferences, so they feel the need to point out he’s \. Sure, you could think that archaic or whatever, but I’m not seeing how such a statement makes Brazil anything you said he is. Really? I must hang out with the wrong people, then. Most of the ones I know (even those who are in a traditional man-works, woman-stays-home-with-the-kids relationships) do not “wholeheartedly agree” with the idea that the man is the leader of the family/head of the household. This is an archaic notion. A marriage is a partnership. The partners might choose to divide the roles in more traditional ways, but I would be willing to wager that most families look at it more this way than “man as leader.” Me, I have a big problem with the idea that just because men have outies and women have innies, they get to be the boss. That’s the most asinine notion I’ve seen in awhile. If there’s even a “boss” (as in, person who makes most of the decisions to guide the family) I think it should be mutually agreed upon and be the more intelligent and better decision-making person, not the man by virtue of the fact that he was born with a penis. Ugh, this is a hot button for me. I don’t care how individual couples choose to conduct their relationships (as long as both are happy with the decision), but to extrapolate this to most couples…ugh. I didn’t grow up in the Fifties and I’d rather not go back there, thanks. If this was even true in the Fifties. ---
